Goodwell, Oklahoma Speed Traps

A hispanic officer shoots radar on traffic coming from the southwest on Highway 54 and then seems to profile out of state cars, stopping them and writing tickets for speeding when local vehicles can speed through Goodwell without being stopped.

Speed reduces from 65 to about 45 in just a short distance. The police like to park at the rest stop for one side of town.

Through town speed limit = 40mph.Looking for some Diesel fuel for 1999 Bounder diesel Pusher. Left town, and resumed
regular 60 mph speed. Evidently, 40mph continues through
business district and on out into the countryside, no bldgs,no businesses, no houses. In some instances, an engine fan has disrupted the beam, and caused a false reading. In a diesel pusher, the fan faces rearward, behind the radiator.

These cops are looking for drugs, any kind of drugs. People pulled over for tag lights, looking lost, changing lanes and on one occurance inperticular 2 miles above the speed limit. If you can avoid Goodwell on highway 54, DO IT!
