Tulsa, Oklahoma Speed Traps
Sheridan Rd. between 61st St. East and 81st St. East
There is either a motorcycle cop or a patrol car. They "hide" at the entrances to the track homes and also next to Koala Care located on the east side of Sheridan between 71st & 81st. They are there pretty much everyday between 7am – 5pm. Do Not speed there at anytime!
Riverside Drive 71st to 91st. North and Southbound
Road is 4-6 lanes with moderate to little traffic common. Spoeedtraps normally seen during morning and evening commute times. Police station located between 71st and 81st known to have speedtraps as well as further south. Speed limit is 50mph in this stretch but traffic flow is more commonly 60. Some speedtraps further north on Riverside but not as common because of slower and more congested traffic flow.
Highway 75, just south of 244 and 75 merger. North and Southbound.
Police officers often seen at top of hill on highway 75 just south of where 75 and 244 meet and just north of 41st ST exit. Most time officers are not using radar and sometimes are not even awake. Meant to just scare drivers but causes many near-miss accidents because of panicked speeders.
US Highway 64 E&W bound near downtown
There is a State Trooper in a Camaro that sits in the grass in the "Up With Trees" area. You can’t see him heading west out of downtown. He is relatively new in the area and is making his presence known.
East 36th Street, Harvard to Yale Ave.
36th Street is a major cut-thru street that has variable speed limits. This stretch is 30MPH and they’ll stop you for going over 35. It’s usually a motorcycle cop who’ll be reasonable, but firm.
