Water South Street near Meyers Road

Cambridge, OntarioSep 10, 20070 Comments

An easy ticket for police officers, because Water St. S. is leading into a country highway (Hwy 24 S.), but the posted speed limit is 50 km/hr, which almost nobody observes, because this is not a residential zone, just a drive along the river to the country.

Police sit at the Sunoco Gas Station almost every morning running various forms of Radar. They are usually nabbing cars coming from Hamilton into Cambridge.

Blair Road near Langdon Hall

Cambridge, OntarioMay 18, 20070 Comments

Police park in the driveway of Langdon Hall, catching speeders leaving Blair heading towards Galt. They are parked right where the speed limit changes from 50km/h to 80km/h. The 50km/h is a "community safety zone", so fines are doubled. Victims are signalled to pull down the driveway to receive their ticket, so that other motorists don’t see them and slow down. They are frequently seen in this location in the mid morning hours (9-10).
