State Route 8 near US Highway 401

Cambridge, OntarioMay 18, 20071 Comments

Police park on the blind side of the Highway 401 underpass, and use laser to "hunt" speeders on a regular basis. The speed limit in that area is 60km/h but as a multi-lane divided roadway near a major highway, it is not uncommon for people to be traveling 80km/h+. Enforcement is Always traffic heading from Kitchener/Sportsworld area towards Cambridge. All I can assume is it’s easy pickings for them and is only 5 minutes away from their HQ. In the last week, I have seen them there every day.

Jamieson Parkway near Franklin Boulevard

Cambridge, OntarioMar 01, 20070 Comments

Halfway between Frankin Boulevard and Townline Road, police officers will sit in driveways of business with Radar. The speed limit in this area is too low for it to be a ‘Parkway’. There are some backyards of houses along this road (Jamieson) but they have walls at the rear of their properties. It is very easy to get above the speed limit on Jamieson!
