Glasgow Street

Kitchener, OntarioMay 14, 20071 Comments

On Glasgow between Fisher-Hallman road and Westmount the speed in 40 kph. This street has a hill in which you pick up speeds over 60kph. The police like to site at two points to get you. One is on Briar Patch Lane and the other is Inwood Dr.

McGarry Drive near Fischer Hallman Road

Kitchener, OntarioMar 15, 20070 Comments

As you travel up McGarry Drive towards or away from Fischer Hallman Road there frequently are police sitting in one of the side streets capturing those vehicles going over the posted 40km/hr speed limit! Something very easily done on a relatively straight road with no stops! Watch out for the dual police action, where they will post one to watch and one to ticket several streets apart!

Bleams Road near Manitou Drive

Kitchener, OntarioFeb 18, 20070 Comments

On Bleams Road between Homer Watson and Manitou, there are several industrial plants along one side of the road. Police love sitting in those driveways with their lasers. I’ve seen them there several times. The trick is that Homer Watson is 70kph, Bleams on the other side of Homer Watson is 60kph, but this stretch is only 50kph, so rarely does anyone follow the limit. It’s easy cherry picking for them.

Wellington Street near Lancaster Street

Kitchener, OntarioFeb 07, 20070 Comments

When you come down Wellington St. going towards Lancaster St., There is a little road to the right, just before the, Mackence King house. You will be able to see the tip of the car’s nose, but with this road being a slight down hill the whole way down you will have a hard time staying at 50. I have also seen the car placed on the left side in a used car dealership parking lot or close to it.

Lancaster Street

Kitchener, OntarioFeb 07, 20070 Comments

There has been on many occasions a car sitting in the Lancaster plaza (KFC, Pyrimid Pizza, City Flix). Because this area is where the police use to fill up their gas for their cars, they seem to sit there a lot. The whole Lancaster St. from Victoria Street to as far as Bridgport road has lots of police checking for speeders. The limit is 50 here, but with the cut off from the highway 7/8 there you forget to slow down off the ramp. I have seen 2 cars pulled over right after the Forwell’s Variety because of the merge sign before it and everyone tries to rush into one lane.
