Markham, Ontario Speed Traps

there’s actaully 2, both north and southbound. the one northbound is north of the shell on the east side of markham rd. Usually a cop hide behind the small church in a 50 zone, sitting in the car w/ the radar in hand. It’s uphill so it’s almost impossible to go speed limit. This was both witnessed late nite and mid day, coz i used to go to school in that area.
2nd one downhill on the southbound of markham rd is a little bit more south, actaully right across from the shell. police set up tripod beside the new townhouses, he was in a yellow raincoat, beside a yellow fire hydrant, and the houses were light color, almost impossible to see. multiple police cars were seen across the street parked @ the shell station and also behind the town houses. this trap is @ the end of the downhill part before the parking lot for the go station (right before the railroad corssing) so even if you didn’t accerate you will still get caught easily. watch out!

Cruisers are often spoted sitting in the parking lot of a church on the north side of 16th ave just before Mc Cowan, closer to Cairns Dr. (small street)

theres a sneaky slope of a drive way on the south side of 16th ave leading into a convience store plaza, its a posted 70. i was doing 90 saw the officer at the last second: at these angles thats all you could do was see him too late, didnt have time to slow down, checked my rear view mirror pulled out after me. in my situation i made the next available right into the sub division on quarry stone (about 200m from the plaza)and pulled into the first resedential drive way i found. he parked at the end of the drive way. told me i was doing 90 and leFort if you do pull into someones drive way..turn your car off as well. they can not issue tickets on private property or after you’ve pulled yourself over and have turned off your car

Its located on the South side of 16th, east of Woodbine, almost right at the intersection. As you are going west on 16th, you come over the hill and they nail you. I’ve seen up to 4 cruisers, usually in the mornings. This intersection has 4 different traps I have seen.

Cop sitting on east bound on ramp on york-durham line, almost every single morning during the week. usually they are under the bridges going east in the morning, 9th line as well.
