Watch for laser radar set up on shoulder of road catching cars coming westbound on the divided highway, usually daytime on weekdays. The tripod stand for the radar is often hidden behind a 2nd parked car with the cruisers up ahead. If you see cars on the right shoulder heading into town, slow down!

River Street near Rockwood Avenue

Thunder Bay, OntarioOct 05, 20080 Comments

Between Rockwood and Red River Rd. the speed limit goes from 40 kmph to 50 kmph and in 2/10 of a kilometer (from the 50kmph sign ) it drops to 30 kmph, then back to 50 kmph as you clear the corner..
I don’t know if this is being used as a speed trap, but it certainly has the potential
