The Canyon Rd exit splits into two. left lane takes you off the freeway, right lane takes you back onto the freeway. the reason for this is to allow cars from another street to enter the freeway. the Onramp part of this little split, on the right side the road goes down than back up. on the right side there is a concrete divider that ends on the bottom of the hill. the officer hides on the bottom right of the hill. right behind the concrete divider (it ends at the bottom of the hill so all he has to do is move a bit forward and he’s on the street)

Butner Rd, just east of Cedar Hills Blvd

This is a road that is easily traveled at 35+ (and most do), but it’s posted at 25. I must say there are a lot of cars parked close to the edge, but it’s a connecting road that feels like it should be faster. About half-way in from either end of this section of road are a couple of wide parking lots for apartments and businesses with miscellaneous objects such as trees, cars, and trash bins that help mask visibility of police waiting for speeders in either direction. Even my wife, who is a very conservative driver, was ticketed there once!

Hwy 26 (Sunset) Westbound, just before Murray Blvd exit (and just after Hwy 217 merge)

A down-hill section of freeway that has just past some major congestion at the top of a hill and many are pulling into a 3rd, exit-only lane. A wide shoulder comfortably allows a patrol car to sit with lights off down near the exit. What’s worse is as you come over the hill, big signs restrict vision of this spot until you’re already part-way down the hill. But it’s got to be a long shot for radar because it’s still a quarter mile to the exit!
