TV Highway near 185th

Beaverton, OregonApr 15, 20101 Comments

On TV Highway a few blocks on either side of 185th the speed limit goes from 45 mph to 35 mph. I have often seen police motorcycle and auto units congregating in that area with many drivers pulled over for exceeding the posted 35 mph limit.

Corner of SW Oak St. and SW 166th Av.

Beaverton, OregonMar 25, 20100 Comments

Although this a wide, straight road, it is 25 mph through here. Motorcycle cops love to sit on the corner of 166th or 167th and catch people who have been driving down 170th (45 mph) and turn onto to Oak St. but don’t know that it drops to 25 mph. I drive this home from work every day and I see a cop there quite often.

185th Ave., Aloha, Or

We live on this street, & we see the police giving tickets everyday.
Sometimes we see not only 1 car stopped, but at times there will be 2 or 3 lined up across from our house.

Weir Rd uphill from Mt Adams Dr, parked in subdivision being

Beaverton, OregonMar 10, 20100 Comments

Officer in Magnum will sit in the gravel uphill from where the speed changes from 35 to 25, this is a really bad one becasue this section of Weir is 25 MPH, but all of the rest is faster, and surrounding streets are faster so there is almost no point to the slow speed.

The officer will radar down the hill aiming at SW Mt Adams rd and if you do not instantly change from 35 to 25 he will pull you over and not even give you a warning… even if you slow down after seeing the speed change.

SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy & SW Poplar Ln

Speed camera van on the north side of SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy between SW Poplar Ln and SW Norse Ln. Citation states at or near 8455 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy. At night, the parking lot the van sits in is unlit and impossible to see until the flashes of the speed camera go off.
