State Highway 26 near Just before the Murray Blvd Exit

Beaverton P.D. have 2 new Dodge Magnum’s; they’re being used by the Traffic Unit for chasing speeders.
**New Tactic**
The Magnum is parked along Hwy 26 (westbound)–from a distance it looks like another broken down car–there are motorcycle officers (as many as 5) parked in front of the Magnum. It’s practically impossible to make out their helmets as the background wall is also white.

Cedar Hills Boulevard near Walker Road

Beaverton, OregonFeb 17, 20070 Comments

Southbound on Cedar Hills Blvd, 1/4 mile or so before the Walker intersection. Radar van will pull onto the sidewalk on the right. This is a downhill stretch, so it is very easy to accidentally go over the 35mph speed limit.

SW Canyon Road near SW Cedar Hills Boulevard

Beaverton, OregonAug 17, 20060 Comments

The Beaverton photo radar van will sit in the brake repair shop parking lot on the Southeast side of the intersection of Canyon Road (Oregon SR-8) and SW Cedar Hills Boulevard. The sign saying the area is speed photo enforced is resting against the traffic light pole no more than 10 feet from the van. They place this van a few blocks from when the speed limit drops to 35 from 45. Enforcement is eastbound traffic only.

US Highway 26 West near State Highway 217 South

Beaverton, OregonAug 11, 20060 Comments

Sometimes, there will be two officers patrolling this section of US-26 westbound between Canyon Road (OR-8) and OR-217. One will have somebody pulled over, lulling you into a false sense of security. The second officer will sit in front of or just past the merge to 217 southbound and pick off those who have sped back up, thinking they’re safe.
