Springfield, Oregon Speed Traps
Limited marked pedestrian crossings. Oregon Highway Department will not mark any more crossings because it is a state highway. Just be careful.
The increase from 20 mph to 35 mph is posted on the bridge, not before it. If you get ticketed for impeding the traffic is not a good ticket. You are in a 20 mph zone until you reach the sign changing the speed.
These routes also know and East and West Pioneer Parkways have many pedestrian crossings. Some are blocked due to allowed parking too close to see pedestrians at the intersections. Please be careful.
A patrol car sits on the median just beyond the crest of the 42nd St. overpass as you are heading west, just out of your sightline until you reach the top of the overpass.
its a long streach of straight hwy where the cops hide in the local drive ways under trees, there is no reason for the 45 mile an hr there, it seems to be a very good trap.they make lots of money there.
