Tigard, Oregon Speed Traps

Motorcycle cop sits at the point of grass that forms the Kruse Way exit. He will laser you before you see him because of the blockage of the overpass for 217 and some signs will obscure your windshield but not your front plate. He will spin around to follow you if you exit or go straight if you don’t.

P.D. sits between Babies are Us and empty building with radar. You don’t see him until you are right there.

Always some cops off the little side streets, trying to catch folks going over the 20mph limit there. I’ve seen as many as 4 units at one time. Must be a real revenue generator.

Right before the viaduct over old town Tigard is a Catholic school on the left side of 99W (if you’re northbound). Usually in the morning between 6-7am, a Tigard cop will sit in the parking lot and attempt to pick off people exceeding 35 MPH. Usually there Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

A motorcycle will sit in the bushes on the right of 217 N, before the overpass (after the off ramp) -or- the other side directly under the over pass. The on ramp lane from 99W, coming onto 217N, adds to the highway and ends at the Greenberg exit. At the time that lane becomes part of the highway, the driver will hit the crest of the hill. That is where you meet his laser.
