Media, Pennsylvania Speed Traps
State Road near Upper Providence Grill
Traveling south on Route 1, State Road exit, traveling toward Route 252, after you crest the hill, in the church parking lot driveway next to the Upper Providence Grill, or the Dentist’s house parking lot on the left, or on the left driveway to the park next to Providence Court Apartments on the left, squad cars will wait with their lights off.
Baltimore Pike Road near Ridley Creek Road
Due to accidents for turning traffic, the state posted an unreasonable speed limit. The slow speed limit actually causes issues coming down the hill coming out of Media. The officer that ticketed me actually told me the slow speed limit is not reasonable.
Baltimore Pike Crossing
NP Police jurisdiction, often seen at bottom of hill going south out of Media. Speed limit posted at 25 mph. You must brake all the way down hill to avoid speeding up. Often on weekends and thurs, trying to catch bar hoppers (DUI) My advice is to keep it under 30 mph.
