Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Speed Traps
25th Street – Heading West on University Bridge
Sits in the trees at the end of the bridge and they wave you in. Note: look for them in the bush before you get across the bridge if you think you have been speeding you can make a quick right at the end of the bridge to circle down and under it to avoid the cops that are pulling people in.
Fairlight Drive both directions between Fairmont and Pendygrasse
Beige car parks on side of Fairlight and catches cars whipping past.
Edmonton avenue
One car often sits in the parking spots by the baseball diamonds here, or in the empty ‘lot’ across from the utility building. They nail speeders who choose to accellerate heavily after turning from 33rd street onto Edmonton avenue, coming around the corner. The drivers are blind to the cops’ presence, and as such end get hit with no chance to slow down. BEWARE!
McKercher Drive between 8th St. East & College Drive Overpass
Watch all side streets on this stretch, you can speed here but many people get caught. You just have to watch closely for the common vehicles. The police are trying a few new tactics here using average vehicles, be leary of an old beat up light brown Chevy truck, it has lights hidden behind a cracked front grill. If a Crown Victoria is around check for hubcaps first. They remove all hubcaps because in high speed chases they lose them anyways (Safety Precaution)
11th Street from Fairlight Drive to Ave P South by Vern’s Pizza
The police have been monitoring speeds along the residential stretch between Fairlight Drive and Circle Dirve on 11th Street West, Go 60km/hr still, you’ll be safe doing that, speed later on at night in this section. Circle Drive to Ave P South is generally easy to speed on but slow down when passing warehouse on the right before procan auto and pickup speed again when you see that the Cameco parking lot is clean and watch for Suburban at Coin-Op Car wash, usually pulls over speeders but sometimes the police are monitoring the Hell’s Angels Biker Club. Be Careful on this one.
