Highway 150 (Pacolet Hwy)

Gaffney, South CarolinaJun 26, 20200 Comments

It starts at the intersection of Pacolet Hwy and Austin Drive and continues to the intersection of Pacolet Hwy and S. Petty Street. There is a storage rental at the corner of Pacolet Hwy and S. Johnson street, which is about half way between those two. The cops usually park directly across the street from that storage unit, usually near the slate gray house with the huge trees out front. They usually hide behind fallen limbs or stuff like that. It irritates me quite a bit because that happens to be my house.

Highway 18 North (Shelby Highway)

Gaffney, South CarolinaApr 10, 20120 Comments

After crossing I-85 heading North on highway 18, the speed limit is 35 for about 1/2 mile until it changes to 55. There is a small pull off on the right just past I-85. State troopers sit there with hand held radars. I have been warned there once (42 in a 35) and wife got a warning. The trooper claimed she was doing 50 (she was heading South on 18) but she was only doing 35 at the time. The trooper must have clocked her before she reached the 35 MPH zone sign. This area is heavily patrolled so watch your self!
