Bartlett, Tennessee Speed Traps
Whitten Road near 40 Avenue
Whitten road is a long from stretching from Bartlett overpass of I/40 going into Memphis and then into the Penal farm. Its an alternative to go north/south in Memphis. There is a police sub-station just north of I-40 where I am sure they use Whitten to train new officers for speeding tickets, etc. There are a lot of lights and a lot of lanes and traffic and hidden places for cops to hide.
Bartlett Boulevard
Traveling north on Bartlett Boulevard, as you are cresting the top of the railroad overpass and moving on the downhill side causing an increase in speed. Bartlett Police will sit/hide in the trees, located in the soccer park, to the right side of the road. It is very sneaky since an increase in speed is to be expected since vehicles are going downhill when clocked.
Stage Road near Whitten Road
Stage Road is Infamous for Speedtraps, from the intersection of Singleton Parkway to Kirby-Whitten Road there are always one or two Bartlett Police cruisers awaiting anyone going over 3 mph over the speed limit. On mile East of Singleton Parkway is their station, so they set up close. There are plenty of hiding spots and they are random about where they set up. One of the major things they really get is motorcyclists for using loud pipes ($150 fine) so Harley Davidson Riders need to be really cautious.
Mainly on Stage bun also sighted on Yale and Kirby-Whitten
