Hixson Pike Turnpike near Thrasher Pike Turnpike
The Hamilton County sheriff sits across the street from Nana’s custard stand and hides in the strip mall across from it since the parking lot has plenty of stuff to park next to. They also have a couple of cars going up and down Hixson Pike. The stretch from the corner Toyota lot to Thrasher pike is the worst.
North Chamberlain Avenue near Glass Street
White Ford van. It is sometimes in front of the old Buster Brown mill (large red brick) on N. Chamberlain Ave., approximately midway between Glass St. and Wilcox Blvd.
State Highway 153 near State Route 58
There is a White Ford Ecoline van anywhere around Hwy 153 or Hwy 58. If you look the van is parked at an angle and you will see a window on the driver’s side that opens, and that is the photo radar. I’ve heard there are 2 of these vans throughout Chattanooga. One of the vans has also been seen on Hwy 58 at North Hickory Valley Road. I still have yet to see them on any of the interstates.
Interstate 24 West near US Highway 27 N
2 TN Hwy Patrol sit on the right side of I-24W barely past the split to Hwy 27N. They are obscured by the curve in the road as well as underbrush.
Interstate 75 near Between Collegedale Exit and Ooltewah Exit North Side
Trooper sits off in area off the side. The local news reported TDOT stoopped all constructuion for 5 months as of Friday 8th, Sept. No construction eqpt. there or any workers. State troopers continue to ticket area. Everyone goes around 70 thru there except the unfortunate victim of unlawful stop. It is no longer a construction area.
