Hwy. 386 and Conference Dr. exit
Recent sign posted too close to exit off Hwy. 386 at Conference Dr. warning of “re-entry” back onto 386 as prohibited. Pavement allows re-entry but sign is not at point of possible re-entry. You will receive a moving violation if you do not exit at Conference Dr. after taking exit.
Indian Lake Blvd. between Vietnam Veterans and Main Street
There are always police cars on this stretch and I once passed four within a mile. They frequently park in the shopping center next to Demos’.
All over the state
The speed limit on 386 has been reduced in Hendersonville
only because drivers are too busy texting, talking on the phone, messing with the radio or CD player or doing anything
beside’s paying attention. It’s not the speeding. They just
don’t know how to drive!!
Gallatin Road near Cages Bend Road
Hendersonville police are out in many places along Gallatin Road between Cages Bend (redlight 14 and redlight 6) on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening as people are on thier way to church. The speed limit changes 5 miles per hour in at least two places so you can be easily caught if you don’t watch out.
Gallatin Road near Cages Bend Road
Gallatin Road from just pass the by-pass in Hendersonville up to Vol State in Gallatin is a speed trap. I’ve received 3 tickets in my life and all 3 were on this stretch of Gallatin Rd. They now have the speed limit down to 45 near Hendersonville which might be appropriate at rush hour. But, at other times of day there’s hardly any traffic and they’ll pull you over for practically nothing.
