Haynes Drive

Murfreesboro, TennesseeJul 24, 20030 Comments

The City Police park their motorcycle or squad car off the road and hide behind the big tree about 1/4 mile before entering the intersection of Memorial Blvd. The tree is easily recognizable as you approach Memorial Blvd. (you are traveling east on Haynes). The speed limit is 30 on Haynes and is strictly enforced. There is an entrance to a small residencial area just before you reach Stones River Manor, you will be instructed to pull into this area to be cited.

Cason Lane

Murfreesboro, TennesseeMay 27, 20030 Comments

As in many other places in Murfreesboro, law enforcement hides behind shrubbery or other neighborhood landmark while on foot and then steps out in front of the moving vehicle to prevent you from passing by. They proceed to direct you over and give you a ticket. They direct all the following traffic in the same direction and give them tickets as well. The speed limit is set low because this is a residential area sharing common land with major commercial area and intersection. Supposedly residents complained about the ‘speeding’. However, they knew the traffic flow before they moved in and the fact that it is the most significantly growing commercial area in the city.
