Use caution when driving through Bristol, TN on Bristol Hwy (ironically, this area is home to the Bristol Motor Speedway!)

Two!! (Both Directions) Fixed Radar Camera Units; right at the Pardner’s BBQ Restaurant.

Speed limit is 45 mph – Trigger is supposedly set at 49 mph – Registered owner will receive ticket via USPS mail.

Highway is divided 4-lane; Both camera units are in the median.

This is a 24/7/365 system and was sending warning tickets until 26 December; Now the tickets are full price; pro-rated on speed.

Bluff City police usually sit in median where speed limit goes from 55mph (should be 70mph in my opinion) to 45mph. this constant police speed trap continues all the way into Johnson City TN. Not only will they pull you over for minor speeding, but for any other excuse as well, ex: burned out headlight, tint, excessive lane changing, etc.

This trap is in an industrial complex and 35 is the speed limit. They usually sit in an unused building’s parking lot radaring and you cannot see them until you are right on them.
