Santa Barbara Dr. at Sperry St. and Inverness Ln.

Several times in the last couple of months, I have seen police officers camped out at both intersections, looking to nail people for speeding and "running" stop signs (what is often an incomplete stop at an empty intersection). I have seen people pulled over twice. They are typically out at morning rush hour. As annoying as it may be, it is best to stay stopped for a few seconds at these intersections, to give them absolutely no reason to pull you over. People also tend to speed on Santa Barbara, so just know that the cops could be watching you when you least expect it.

Motorcycle officers frequently stand at the road running just behind Baruch Hashem Temple with radar guns. One cop checks the radar and the other is ready to go on the motorcycle.

Northbound I-75 Service Road, Before Ross Avenue

Once or twice a month I see 1-3 cop cars parked, hidden, underneath the I-75 bridge over Ross Avenue. 1 cop stands on the curb pointing a radar gun down the service road while the others flag violators over to the curb to write them a ticket.

Jim Miller at Highland near I-30

Dallas, TexasAug 06, 20100 Comments

A cop sits near I-30 and Jim Miller every morning, usually before sunrise, looking for people running the red light at I-30 and Jim Miller. Sometimes he sits in the Shell Gas Station parking lot. Sometimes he sits in the parking lot of the restraurant at Highland and Jim Miller. He is watching for people running the stop sign at Highland and Jim Miller. Make sure you come to a COMPLETE stop at the stop sign. He will pull over drivers who "roll" the stop sign. he starts before sunrise and sits in his car with his lights off, so you cannot see him until it is too late.
