Eastbound Transmountain Road near the Resler intersection
This trap is normally motorcycle cops hidden in bushes on the side of the road, using lasers . So a radar detector w/o laser capability won’t help you here. The road is a miles-long downhill grade that makes exceeding the speed limit very easy to do if you’re not watching your speedometer closely. The locals love to lighten your wallet at this location.
Spur 601/Sgt Major BLVD
Motorcycle cop. Slow your self down, because he hides alongside the on ramp to snag those going anywhere between 8+ miles over. $178 ticket, with $107 in court fees for going 11mph over.
601 spur (liberty frwy)
Coming east or west, as you approach and pass the exit for Biggs, or going east as you approach and pass the airport, Biggs exit, on the long sweeper on 601 is the camaro cop car sitting and waiting off to the side waiting to snag people that are coming around that corner to fast.
Alabama going towards Fred Wilson
Various traffice units will park om the side or median near Almeida hrine bldg. The speed limit is 45 but its really easy to let you speed go higher going down Alabama St. They’ll get you after you round rge curve by the apartments.
Global Reach at the golf course entrance
Motorcycle cops sit behind the sign just inside the entrance of the golf course. It’s hard to see them when cresting the hill. If you look close enough, you can see the white of their helmets just over the top of the sign. There are usually two or three of them sitting together. Make sure you don’t speed when you crest the hill going toward Biggs Field. They are sneaky!
