FM 1171 Cross Timbers near Kirkpatrick Road

Flower Mound, TexasApr 21, 20080 Comments

The Flower Mound police station is located off Kirkpatrick, just south of 1171. So there are always police cars in this area coming and going. They like to run radar right down the street in front of Parker Square, either in a car or also motorcycle enforcement. It is unwise to speed in this area.

High Road near Sunnyview Lane

Flower Mound, TexasMar 28, 20080 Comments

Smokey hides out in the little area where you can park in between Stallion Circle and Sunnyview Lane. The mass of trees hide him out of sight if you are coming from FM1171, and by the time he comes in to view, it’s too late for you to slow down. Usually see one there once or twice at the most in a given month.

FM 1171 near FM 377

Flower Mound, TexasSep 12, 20070 Comments

FM1171 West 1 mile east of Hwy 377 on north side of FM1171 a large ranch entrance gate with panel fences on both sides. Officers sit behind panels and shoot radar at both east and westbound traffic. You can not see them behind fence panels, and the road is posted at 50 mph in an area that seems like it should be at least 55-60. I frequently drive this cooridor and see them alot at this spot.

Valley Ridge Boulevard near Timber Creek Road

Flower Mound, TexasAug 12, 20070 Comments

This is a favorite of the motorcycle cops of the Flower Mound PD. On Valley Ridge and Timber creek road the cop sits on the sidewalk hidden by the trees and waits. The worst time is mid afternoon at the beginning of the school zone that is about 100-200 yards long. If you’re coming from Morris rd, you can easily see him, but if your coming from garden ridge, then he is nicely hidden.

Morris Road near Across From Bakers Branch South of 1171

Flower Mound, TexasJul 18, 20060 Comments

FM Police use all types of tactics here, usually posted up behind the trees on the west side of the street as you proceed south on Morris.
