Interstate 30 W

on I-30 Westbound, between Arlington and Fort Worth, TX, officer standing on the ovepass bridge with a radar gun, clocking ongoing traffic, notifying over the radio officers on the motorcycles/cars to make traffic stops

W 7th Street near 7th Street Bridge coming out of downtown

Fort Worth, TexasJul 19, 20040 Comments

This is a ridiculous trap. One cop will stand on the bridge coming out of downtown where it is a 35 and gun an entire line of cars. Then his 10 buddies on the other side will pull the entire line of people on there way to lunch over and write them tickets.

East side of Lake Worth, from about Las Vegas Trail to Saginaw exit; officers routinely set up with radar.

Interstate 820 near Team Ranch Road Road

Fort Worth, TexasJul 04, 20040 Comments

Officer will sit under the bridge at Team Ranch Rd and will be radaring northbound traffic. Sometimes they are in an unmarked Camaro. Cannot see him until you are right on him and it’s too late then.

Have also seen them radaring southbound traffic at the next bridge to the north just over the hill. Safe bet is to be careful on 820 between I-30 and the I-20/820 split.

Interstate 30W near Interstate 35W N-S

Just as you pass the on and off ramps for I-35W N and S, the speed limit drops from 60 to 50. I think its just near the exit for Summit (I just pass through so Im not sure of the exits, Im usually more busy looking for this A-hole than rubbernecking the exit signs lol) You will top a hill and there will be a Camaro Fort Worth police car setting on the breakdown shoulder, or up against the concrete center barrier just a bit furhter up, shotgunning his radar or laser. They are not particular to who they pick off, as I was a victim one morning, traveling with traffic, in a crowd of vehicles, and was pulled over from the crowd who was all doing the same speed. They will patrol for months at a time, nearly every morning. They they will disappear for a month. And without warning, they will be back again. Usually if you dont see him setting in his spot, just wait, you will see him a mile up the road with his fresh kill. Sorry, sorry SOB this one is.
