Hemphill Road near Interstate 20

Fort Worth, TexasMar 23, 20040 Comments

Hemphil ST between interstate 20 and Altamesa on the south side of Fort Worth, Tx.
I seen anybody walking on that stretch, maybe an occasional runner, I have spotted coyotes and a fox on the side of the road, that is how isolated this stretch of road is, road is double wide, slightly curved and no homes or businness in the area, yet police protection is very prominent strictly enforcing the low posted speed limit. I don’t know what or whom they are trying to protect, except maybe revenues for city hall.

Randal Road near 820 S Loop

Very winding road, lots of blind turns and hills. Also plenty of vacant parking lots that are covered by signs and brush.

Cherry St. Exit from I-30 Eastbound

Fort Worth, TexasOct 07, 20030 Comments

If you commute to downtown Fort Worth in the mornings by taking the Cherry St. exit from eastbound I-30 like I do, this may apply to you.

When you exit Cherry St., the speed limit goes from 55 to 30 as you exit and go under I-30. I’ve seen cops handing out tickets on the right side of the road near the 1st stoplight which is coincidentally their police car repair facility. I am not yet certain where they are radaring from as I have not seen anyone radarring, just a few officers on foot handing out tickets on the right side.

If anyone has any more details, please contribute. I’ll post more if I’m able to figure this one out. Its possible they are just packing up when I come by at about 7:40am.

121 & Handley Ederville Westbound onramp

Fort Worth, TexasJun 10, 20030 Comments

This trap has been around for at least 5 years. I got busted once by it 5 years ago and I occasionally still see an officer here.

It is in Richland Hills on the 121 Westbound onramp just past Handley Ederville heading west. The officer will hide on the onramp since it is above the freeway. You cannot see him until you are past the onramp and if you look in your mirrors, you’ll see him sitting there. I got busted for 99 in a 60mph zone here back when I was in high school doing dumb stuff in my dad’s ’97 T/A.

This is a sneaky spot since only about 1/4 mile after the onramp, you cross over the creek into Haltom City and they cannot clock you.
