Haltom City, Texas Speed Traps
Browning Dr. and Southern Hills Dr.
Motorcycle traffic cop parks behind stop sign, the house on corner, and some shrubs in order to scope traffic on Browning Dr. This is a hilly neighborhood so speeds can easily vary, but try to keep it at 30MPH. If you do get stopped, the officer is friendly and gets you back on the road quickly.
Thomas Road north of Lower Birdville Road & Hwy 121
Changed from 30mph to 20 mph recently. motorcycle hides on side street just south of fossil creek bridge. Got me 30 in a 20. Said he couldn’t give me a warning because he had already pulled me over. what? I turned around to check for speed limit sign & he pulled over the very next vehicle.
820 East Bound access road @ Haltom Rd
Exiting the highway where the speed is 65, they sit at the bottom of the ramp right where it hits the access road and the speed is 35. Unless you basically stand on the brakes when you start to exit, they’ve got you.
When I was paying my ticket at the courthouse, there were 3 other people who got popped at the exact same spot. They’re printing money at this spot.
My advice, don’t exit there. Go past abs just don’t spend time or money in that hole of a city that time forgot.
North bound on 121 at 820 off ramp
As you exit 121 and head toward Hwy 10, the speed changes from 35MPH to 25 MPH
Western Center between beach and 377
If you are heading East on Wester Center (away from 35W) between Huntington Dr and Bent Creek Dr (about 1 mile before 377) there is a daycare right across the street from the Haltom City Animal Shelter/Pound. The cops will sit behind the sign and get you with LIDAR (Laser). By the time you see them they are pulling out to get you.
