If you are driving from keene to Cleburne and you are on Old Betsy road about to take HWY 67 to Cleburne, you will not see any speed limit signs all the way until you are entering to Cleburne, but the speed limit is suposed to be 55 mph. Be very careful.

Keene Police, Johnson Cty Sheriff & State Troopers work Keene both east and west bound within the city limit. They have both radar and laser. I’ve never gotten a radar ticket but the laser’s gotten me twice in the last few years. They’re always out.

US 67 from Cleburne TX to I-35 in Alvarado

Cops hide behind Business signs or in the dips in the road. Divided Highway 4 lanes. They really like to sit right on the city limits going both ways. The Speed limit drops at the City limit signs from 60 to 45. Be careful.

Texas Hwy 67

Oh yes, Keene is a speed trap town. Going east the speed limit drops to 50 for no apparant or necessary reason. And Keene is the beginning of what I call the ‘gauntlet’ from Keene throug Midlothian on TX 67. Aggresive local police and Texas state troopers. Nobody speeds there!

State Highway 67

State Hwy with 65 mph limit, city limit 50 with only one sign. State Hwy goes right on the outskirts of city. Terrain is constant so no view of city. One speed sign. City patrols Hwy constantly.
