Marker 381

Speed on I35 is 75 until somewhere around marker 379. Somewhere in that area the speed drops to 65 for no apparent reason. Milford Texas police are waiting and issue tickets beginning at MM 380. Price is $133 + $ for every mile over the speed limit. Got me for $173. Ticket requires a money order for payment by mail.

I had a similar experience to one of the other drivers on April 4, 2013. I was going 65 mph (not speeding) and passed a police vehicle on the shoulder that had apparently pulled over a speeder. He came roaring after me, pulled me over, and gave me a ticket for "failure to change lanes when approaching an emergency vehicle." He said if I couldn’t change lanes, then the law says I would have to slow down to 20 mph. It’s one thing if the emergency vehicle is moving, but it was stopped on a wide shoulder, while saying I must suddenly slow down that much on an interstate could provoke a serious accident. Seemed obvious that the cop was just out to shake down motorists.

Officer has radar locked in on 79 mph – is rude and obnoxious. I have electronic logs proving I was not speeding in 65 mph zone and had not gone 79 mph all day.

This is on I35 N near Milford city. I was driving at 80 Mph. I need to go back and check at which MM the speed limit changes to 65. I got blind sided somehow . The last speed limit I last saw was 75 . If someone around the place can post what was the speed limit before that place would be great. Officer simply said you are driving at 80 on a limit of 65 . Is there any reason ? There is nothing to say , just after where I saw cops car, the speed limit board was showing 65. !!!

Daytime, end of the month, and this cop was on a rampage. I was doing 2 miles over the speed limit but got pulled over because I "failed to change lane when approaching an emergency vehicle." I was in the right lane. There are only two lanes. The left one is for passing ONLY. The cop car doesn’t have lights on top so you can’t see them from far away. By the time I realized it was a police car, I was reading the labels on its side. Anyways, this cop has just finished up giving someone a ticket and he was about to pull out. That’s when I passed him and got pulled over. I asked him some questions, and got threatened 2x with arrests. Anyways, just be careful out there. I’m certain they’re abusing the laws to make ends for operating funds, but I don’t know what to do. Best of luck.
