Plano, Texas Speed Traps
Independence Parkway near Park Lane
Southbound on Independence between Park and 15th
Central Expressway near SpringCreek Parkway
Proceeding Northbound on US 75 aka Central Expressway, there is a dropoff for the Springcreek exit to the right. You should exit at 40 mph. At the time of exit there is a Plano motorcycle cop that will have you in his sights with radar. The right side of the service road is lined with driveways to a trailer park. They switch driveways a lot. They make their quota indeed with that trap.
Jupiter Road near East Spring Creek Parkway
Police park car at entrance to new subdivision just North of apartment complex at Spring Creek and Jupiter. They park set back on the southbound side of Jupiter at the bottom of the grade. Speed limit here is reasonable, but it’s easy to find yourself going too fast with the grade.
Park Boulevard near Jupiter Road
The entire area of Park Blvd from Avenue K to the city limit. This is a residential area. The speed limit is 30 and they enforce to that speed. They use unmarked cars and park in between parked cars and on side streets. Keep to 30 to be safe.
Independence Parkway near West Park Boulevard
Going south on Independence Pkwy from West Park Blvd, there is an apartment complex on the right (after a curve in the road) where a police car is stationed. ALL other roads surrounding this area are 40 MPH…but this small stretch on Independence is 30 MPH and the police will get you every time if you are not aware of the drop in the speed limit.
