Richardson, Texas Speed Traps
Hwy. 5 (Greenville Ave.) S. of Arapaho, N. of Belt Line
Police sit in Terrace Shopping Center lot roughly halfway between Arapaho and Belt Line. They allow about 5mph above but not much above and they take no excuses.

Lately I’ve been noticing the RPD upping the ante as far as the speed limit is concerned. One speed trap in particular has become very annoying. Just about every day around 5pm (rush hour) I’ve seen a couple cruisers sitting in front of a house on one of the sidestreets. One cop points the gun and, if necessary, the other pulls out to stop the speeder. It’s not real hard to avoid this one, but it’s useful to know if you’re in the area. The one thing that gets people is the fact that Eastbound traffic is coming right out of a 40 and into a 30 and those cops make complete use out of that
Campbell @ 75
Be careful when passing under the bridge to either exit or enter the highway at Campbell- I see a cop parked in the left hand turn lane everyday to catch people running the red light when going under the bridge. He’ll switch to the other side when the light turns, so he can catch you coming east or west on Campbell.
East Spring Valley (by Region 10 ESC)
The speed limiit is 30 on this street. A motorcycle policeman will park his motorcycle in the driveway of someones house. He will then stand by a tree and point the radar gun on you. If you are speeding, he will step out in front for your car to get you to stop.

There are two motorcycle cops that sit down through the area at any given time and they will pull you over for just about anything. The regular cars patrol this area mainly during the last week of the month.
