Saginaw, Texas Speed Traps
East bound Park Center Road
Speed limit though this “residential” area is 20 mph with WELL HIDDEN speed limit sign, hidden by old growth, leafy trees.
Due to road construction on Old Decatur Road, many take this street to access the central shopping district of Saginaw, Texas.
I was hit with a $168 ticket for going 32 in a 20 mph zone.
Bailey Bowell Blvd
The city of Saginaw has several rail roads tracks between hwy-287 Bus and Blue Mound road. Frequently there will be extremely lengthy trains go through and traffic will be stopped over 20-30 minutes. If the Saginaw Police catch you making a U-turn (regardless how safe you are being) they will make a U-turn with you and write you a ticket. This also applies to McElroy and Longhorn Ave.
Park Center Blvd
Houses east of Knowles residence park their SUV’s curbside. During the day and evening Saginaw PD will park their SUV patrol vehicle where residence normally park their cars in disquised. Sometimes wen both SUV are parked they will park between the two SUV’s to hide. They also like to park in the parking lot of the community center west of Knowles to conceal themselves as a parked car. Lately they have been parking on Arthur St. north of Park Center Blvd watching traffic from a block away from the 4-way stop signs.
Bailey Boswell Road
Police like to sit on a little gravel road on Bailey Boswell Rd half way in between Boswell High School and Wayside Middle School. The speed limit on this road definitely needs to be re-evaluated!
HWY 820 & Old Decatur Road
There is a fluffy officer that sits right behind sign on overpass (old decatur road) clocking speeders…I live on Old Decatur and we see him oh about once a month…now thats its cold and a bit slick not as much. He hasn’t gotten me yet.
