The Colony, Texas Speed Traps

Typically, the officers are out to bust the speeders going into Plano for work in the morning. Usually they will be sitting at the top of the hill in front of the Austin Ranch apartments, just out of view until the last minute. Sometimes they also hide behind a bridge railing further west to catch the people going down the hill too fast.

Two cars in a short one mile stretch. The road is very curvy and hilly with high traffic volume. And guess who is hiding at nearly every curve and just over evry hill? They seem to be getting much stricter in enforcement.

Short, half mile, construction zone. fine doubled if workers present. 30 mph speed limit is not reasonable due to volume of traffic.
