Tyler, Texas Speed Traps
Swan at Tyler Pipe
Speed drops to 50 mph for about 3/4 of a mile, and troopers or deputies will often back in off the road at night and sit in the dark and wait for you to come through.
Speed drops from 60 to 50, the back to 65.
Paluxy Drive
Tyler PD sits on the center lane of Paluxy, south of the loop facing north 100 yards from the loop. Easy to gain speed.
E. 5th Street
Going west from S. Beckham Blvd. crossing the bridge over the tracks, the motorcycle officers like to back up in the shrubs at the bottom of the hill and shoot radar coming from both directions. Posted speed is 35 and is sometimes hard to do even when coasting downhill both ways..
US Hwy. 69 (S. Broadway Ave.)
Speed limit is such you will stop at every signal light going North or South on US 69 (South Broadway). One must speed at 10 to 15 mph faster than posted speed limit to make green lights. Tyler Texas likes you to use more fuel also.
N. Glenwood Boulevard
Coming North From Gentry Pkwy onto Glenwood Toward MLK, the road dips a little and you can catch moto or cop car posted on the left at Avis/Dr. Pepper Entrance or closer to MLK before stop sign/ Speed limit 30-35 I think doesn’t matter though, they will get you
