Greenbrier Parkway near Interstate 64

Chesapeake, VirginiaAug 26, 20040 Comments

Exiting 64 onto Greenbrier Pkwy toward the mall. Police sit in grassy area to the right just before Jarman Road with radar to get cars coming over the bridge. For cars coming off the Interstate, you cannot see the posted 45 sign until it is too late.

Chesapeake Expressway near Mt. Pleasant Road

Chesapeake, VirginiaJun 09, 20040 Comments

Chesapeake police love to sit on either side of the Mt. Pleasant Rd. overpass on the Chesapeake Expressway, and at the bottom of the bridge over the Chesapeake and Albemarle Canal coming South, mostly, but sometimes can be found on the North side, too. When they sit on the overpass you’ll never see them until its WAY too late. Chesapeake police are on a quota and WILL ALWAYS write you a ticket if they stop you. Friday nights are their favorite for nabbing all you folks heading to the Outer Banks of NC for the weekend. Conversely, they’ll be waiting for you on Saturdays when you’re coming home during the summer vacation months, as that’s the day of the heaviest traffic.

US58

Chesapeake, VirginiaOct 31, 20031 Comments

Traveling west on US58 be aware of police hiding near the Hampton Roads Airport across from the Shell Station. Also, along the median strip until you get past Suffolk they like to sit and clock you. Generally, there are at least one radar car set up each day. Near the end of the month several are waiting to get their quotas. Expect NO mercy for none shall be given.
