Hampton, Virginia Speed Traps
I- 64 & Woodland Rd
VHP will sit here early A.M (same cop every morning during heavy traffic) and will pull pick people out of the stop and go traffic. Sometimes they will sit at this entrance and another will sit down at the next entrance or both will hang out at either one. I have seen this Officer actually walk out in the traffic and direct up to 5 vehicles off to the side of the road (much like a traffic cop would do @ an intersection with a broken light) and then go back out and do it again.
Salisbury Way & Melbourne Ct
Cops will sit here often, depending on the time of day they will be close to the trees (day time) or over in the grass area (night) and will be watching traffic on both sides.
Orcutt Ave & Friendly Dr
Hampton Police are known to be in this area during the early morning hours and late night hours, they will park with lights out on friendly dr or park directly across from friendly where a entrance to a radio tower is and you will not even see them until they have pulled out and have you pulled over, also watch for them parked in between cars on orcutt ave going towards Mercury Blvd.
Old Big Bethel and Todds Lane Road near Liberty Baptist Church
The officer sits on the road that leads you out of Liberty Baptist Church onto Old Big Bethel. He waits for the driver to do a rolling stop. The driver does not see the officer because the officer is behind the driver out of view of mirrors. It is the stop sign coming from Old Big Bethel onto Todds Lane. BEWARE!
