Warrenton, Virginia Speed Traps
Taking the Rt. 29 bypass around Warrenton and thru town
I always see cars pulled over everyday on the bypass and as I come into town to go to my job and when I come home the police are just everywhere with radar.
Culpeper Street and Brookshire Drive
Culpeper Street is 25mph here, so during the day LE is usually here catching people as they are coming from Shirley Ave (rt 29).
Blackwell Rd. Adjacent to the Giant shopping center.
Town Police sit in the carve-out next to Country Chevy. The posted limit is 25 but it does not look/feel residential.
North 29 and Meetze Road
Traveling north on Route 29 as you approach the Meetze Road overpass the VA State Police sit on the Meetze Road overpass and use laser. The crusier is difficult to see on the overpass, if you attempt to come off the ramp to Meetze the officer is right there. Generally, the officer just gets on the ramp to 29 north and chases you down. They don’t sit here everyday, but often enough to want to slow down, especially right after this bridge is the popular trap in the median.
17 South at Warrenton Town Limits
Town Police sit in the median at Highland School as you come Southbound into Warrenton on Route 17. Very common to see them running stationary radar at night. Marked cruisers. Speed limit drops from 55 to 35 and 25 during school hours when the school zone flashing signs are on.
