Federal Way, Washington Speed Traps
About 1/10 of a mile east of Pacific Hwy S, on S. 356 ST on the westside of Brooklake Christian School there is a gated gravel driveway.
Vehicles driving eastbound on S 356 St towards Pacific Hwy South. A motorcycle officer will be parked in the blocked gravel drive way capturing drivers coming down the lengthy hill.
State patrol likes to sit up at tne new HOV overpass watching southbound traffic with extra cop cars on the southbound on ramp to pull you over.
There is a Metro Park-and-ride that can be accessed Eastbound on S 324th St From Hwy 99 (40 mph limit). The speed limit on S 324th is 30mph. The motorcycle officers are looking for those who are running late to their buses.
(State Highway 99 – Pacific Highway)
State Patrol sits behind the big green sign and shoots laser for southbound traffic. If you aren’t speeding, then usually FWPD and Washington State Patrol will nail you for using the ramp if you aren’t in a carpool. Watch out!
A school zone and there are always at least 6+ motorcycle cops waiting for you to speed. I was only going 28 in a 35 zone and I got a $210 ticket! You can’t see the school signs until its too late so this is a speed trap. I will surely fight this ticket because it’s not legal what the cops do good people here.
