Milwaukee, Wisconsin Speed Traps
Interstate 94 near 894 Bypass
They sit as you round the corner on 94 West about 1.5-2miles before you can merge onto 894 North or South.
Good Hope Avenue near Teutonia Avenue
When heading westbound on Good Hope road (across the street from Advanced Healthcare) there are no buildings just alot of trees. As you come up to the railroad crossing right before the lights which is Teutonia Ave. The Sheriff is there waiting for those that are speeding. The sad thing is that because he is parked further down in the road away from Good Hope Ave. he is only seen by those heading East bound, Not West bound. So before you know it he has clocked someone for speeding. Please be Careful – they are there any time of the day. FYI there are tire markings in this area as a heads-up that someone is normally there on a regular basis.
6th Street near Canal Street
Driving north over the viaduct, they sit at the Canal St. intersection with radar. The viaduct is arched, and you could be sailing over it and not see them until it’s too late. Speeders get nailed left and right. It’s a nice, smooth 4 lane viaduct with no stops, so it’s easy to exceed the limit of 30 mph. I think they want your money before you get a chance to lose it at the casino on canal street.
Oklahoma Avenue near Forest Home Avenue
There is a short distance between the stoplights at 43rd St. and Forest Home Ave. When driving westbound, the FH Ave light is set to turn earlier than the 43rd St light, drivers tend to pick up the speed to make both lights. The area is being watched for speeding and running yellows.
US Highway 45 near Hampton Avenue
An officer (usually sheriff) sits by Hampton exit on Hwy 45 going northbound using laser gun and also, another is usually waiting ahead by good hope exit.
