Milwaukee, Wisconsin Speed Traps
Good Hope Road
Between 76th and 60th Street patrolling Eastbound traffic at the Brady Corp. Usually hiding right behind the Brady sign on right side. Hard to tell sometimes because it’s a driveway and there’ll be cars coming out at the same time so the cop will be disguised.
Water Street near Between Bar Stretch and Lackee and Joys
On the west side of the street at the curve south of Lackee and Joys near Cherry Street, an officer will park and take radar, potentially ruining your day.
Capitol Drive near 2nd Street
Eastbound Capitol Drive Traffic passes under a Railroad bridge and up a hill to Second Street, where Johnny Law is waiting with Laser. You are nabbed before you see em. Happens anytime day or night. Real revenue maker.
43 Road near South of Lincoln Ave Near Jackson Park.
Between that little bridge for the train to go over 43rd Street, all the way to Forest Home, this area is watched by the police. The last time I drove on that road the speed limit was 25 mph, and it should be 35 mph (with the 25 mph option during school times). I’ve seen plenty of people get busted here, and I’ve seen a number of police sit in the little parking lot of the park just after that bridge, and also at one of the driveway entrances to Jackson Park (coming off of 43rd).
4100-4900 South 6th Street near I43 Plainfield Curve Overpass & Water Tower
This applies to both North & South-Bound, there is a MPD squad (motorcycle in the summer) parked either under the I43 bridge, or, on Armour, by the Old Gardetto’s Factory. I’ve even seen them parked way-off in the open field to the east in the very-early (5am) morning. By-The-Way, the cops themselves, like to use this stretch of road to get to thier calls (Donut Shop) quickly.
