State Route 61 near Ralph Appazato Parkway
Exiting tunnel from Oakland into Alameda. Posted speed reduces to 25mph from 45mph. Failing to slow will result in a citation. Officers sit in median near signal at College of Alameda, and aim radar at tunnel exiting motorists.
Lincoln Avenue near Walnut Street
When Lincoln Ave. merges from two lanes to one, two APD bike cops sit in the apartment complex on the south side of Lincoln. They point their radar at East-bound cars. (I watched them switch to the other side of the street, hiding between two cars, pointing radar to West-bound (coming off of Park Ave.) APD will usually ticket for 30+ mph…
Constituion Way near Marina Village Parkway
When coming out of Webster Steet tube coming over torwards Marina Village Parkway, there is usually two Alameda Police motorcycles aiming a radar gun at traffic coming down to Constituion Way. This is usually AM & somtimes PM commute. They ticket Alamedians and others if over 25 MPH. Commuters are leaving a 45 MPH zone through the tube and it changes quickly to a 25 MPH zone. Police take advantage knowing drivers will still be going over 25 MPH.

Otis Drive near Court Street
Mostly patrolled during AM and PM commutes, but seen on weekends as well. Motorcycle officers park at south corner of Court Street facing east onto Otis towards Krusi Park. The speed limit is 25, but any speed under 30 is "passable". Often there are two officers, one for southbound traffic and one for north.
