Westlake, Texas Speed Traps
1600 Block of Davis Blvd.
It’s a long dark stretch to the 114 on Davis Blvd. that has a hill and possibly one posted speed sign for 40 mph during this entire stretch of road. The officer sits hidden in the middle of the road where they can supposedly get you on radar from any direction. This was at 10:00pm and the Officer said I was traveling 64 when I know I wasn’t going that fast even going down a hill. It’s an obvious trap in a dark stretch of road and no more than 10 cars passed me while the ticket was being issued. Twenty Four miles over and discreetly posted 40 mph speed limit sign warrants a $234 ticket to the city of Westlake. I wonder what other city service generates this much profit?
Davis Boulevard near Vaquero Gated Entrance
Keller PD (under contract to Westlake) often has a motorcycle officer or patrol car monitoring speed and Issuing tickets.
Heading west on TX-114
A motorcycle cop gets drivers as they approach the Precinct Line exit. I seem him just about every day around 3:30pm
Behing the purple side barrier on top of a small bridge
If you are traveling north on highway 114, you will see a small purple side barrier up on the left. There will often be a motorcycle cop shooting laser (so your radar detector won’t help you here) at oncoming traffic.
Precinct and Dove road
This is located at the Westlake Fedility building. It is patroled by Kellar Police sence West lake can’t supply their own Police.
