This guy is sneaky, moves to various areas on route 4 in the town of Bridgewater. As you enter the town from either direction the speed limit drops several times from 50 mph to 25 mph in the few miles through town. He will move around in the lowered speed limit area. He is there more often than not.
Oakwood Dr heading out of Bridgewater at Weeping Willow Dr
Bridgewater police sit on Weeping Willow Dr waiting for vehicles coming down the hill. Speed limit is 30mph. If you coast down the hill you’re dead meat. You must brake to stay at 30mph.
State Route 4 near Fire Station
In front of the Bridgewater Fire Station, and slightly up the road (Directly across from the Bridgewater Elementary School). If you are traveling through Bridgewater any time after 8pm, there is a high chance you will see a Windsor County Sheriff car parked here.
State Route 4 near Bridgewater Mill Mall
The police sit in the Parking lot at the Bridgewater Mill Mall facing the corner on the Woodstock side. The speed limit drops from 50mph to 25mph mid-corner with no warning at all.
US Highway US 4 near US 4, Junt Vt. 100 Crossing
Traping travelers eastbound on UA 4, 1~2 miles past junction of Vt 100. Speed drops from 50 to 40. Gotcha! For that matter US 4 in Vermont is a goat path that changes speed every 100 feet. If you are a cop, speed trap heaven.
