Hwy 40 and Route 19   Inglis, Florida

Police sit on these roads and just about every road in Inglis, 24 hours a day, catching everyone they can. They hide behind bushes, houses, the Food Ranch, and even hide behind the trees in the median. Anyone driving through here, say, on their way south to Tampa, must be extremely careful. There is a lot of road construction which confuses the issue even further because the speed limit will change suddenly and construction barrels distract drivers from watching the signs.

Inglis Avenue near State Route 40   Inglis, Florida

The road running next to Capitol City Bank, down past the post office and Food Ranch is posted at 15mph but nobody ever drives that slow down there. I have seen several people pulled over there.

Highway 40 Road near Hudson St Street   Inglis, Florida

Coming from the east into Inglis on Highway 40 the police are hid off the side of the road and when you cruise into town doing 55 the limits out in the sticks where there is nothing drops to 40. When you come by the Baptist Church they are usually sitting behind the bushes and from there into town especially past the curve at White Brothers racing they can be out of the car behind a tree limb, backed up in the edge of the woods, or off the edge of the right away near the palmetto bushes. Lately they have been between the little Jiffy Store east of town and The VFW building. Highway 40 and Highway 19 are Speed Traps anywhere just about. Citations here have cost folks almost $200,000 this year.

State Highway Highway 40 near US Highway 19   Inglis, Florida

Coming out of Yankeetown the speed limit drops fast and you are also entering a school zone. The officer gets out of his car and hides behind the Rock Church sign shooting people coming out of Yankeetown

N Inglis Ave Street near US Highway 19   Inglis, Florida

N Inglis Ave has a posted speed limit of 15 MPH. This is the main connector road to the post office and grocery everyone has to use and is a road they can catch almost anyone on. They have laid off this lately and catch folks on highway 19.
