I75 Tifton Exits   Tifton, Georgia

Two Tifton City Police are parked on the side of I75 with cars flying by at 70+ MPH. Their lights are flashing and they have a stopped car in between them. As you suddenly come upon the scene, before you can assess whether or not you have room to get over in speeding traffic, you are past it, and the police car in front pulls you over and tickets you $223.00 for violating the Move Over Law. They stop one unsuspecting person after another with this method, saying you had plenty of room to get over. Well, at 70 MPH, you can't remember whether you did or not, and the staging of the set up is such that you are all up in it before you can do anything about it. SURPRISE!! As I drove away, they had caught another one. Cha ching! This law is intended to protect emergency personnel, not to enrich the coffers of Tifton, GA.

I-75 and exit 55   Tifton, Georgia

Officer hiding on other side of overpass lazering from behind. This is bull. I was in the slow lane,right lane, not sure how fast I was going. People were flying by me like I was standing still. I got pulled over and was given a ticket for 90 in a 70. I think I got tagged because I was driving a corvette. This is not right, now I must fight. Looking for an attorney that can make this ticket go away in Tifton, Georgia.

Near Exit 59   Tifton, Georgia

Officers sit on the overpass bridge (Southwell Rd) and clock people driving on I-75 from above. There are 2 officers. The one clocking the north bound lane will be parked in the right hand lane of Southwell Rd on the north bound side of I-75 and vice versa for the southbound lane. You do not know there in an officer clocking your side of the I-75 until after you go under the overpass and look in your rearview mirror. You will see him sitting in his car tagging you from behind. The next exit up state troopers sit on the exit ramp waiting. You do not see them until after you pass also.

I-75 Southbound   Tifton, Georgia

City police officer sits on the bridge hiding behind an exit sign shooting laser. The only part of the car visible is the front corner of the driver's window. The rest of the car is hidden by the sign about 100 yards north. This is an illegal speed trap. The law states that the police car must be plainly visible for 500'. I've seen about 8 chase cars waiting to write tickets on the 2nd St on-ramp. They will get you as I-75 curves to the left just past ABAC.

North I-75 @ Exit 66   Tifton, Georgia

I often enter north I-75 at exit 66 (Brighton Road). There is generally a Tift County Sheriff's patrol car sitting at the top of the northbound on ramp monitoring traffic.
