Lockport, Illinois Speed Traps
On Gougar Rd going north toward 151st street
Cop in tan SUV traps you after a HUGE downhill drop, his English was NOT so good, but he was giving tix out like nothing for most of the day. Pulls you over at a public school parking lot, how convenient.
Bruce Road between Farrell and Briggs
On Bruce Road right across from the fire station a cop liks to hide there. I live right by it, and see them there frequently.
Madison Street near 4th Street
They sit in the little driveway next to the cemetary at the stop sign near 5th, on the west side of Madison, facing St. Joseph’s Catholic School which is at Madison and 5th Street. You will see them expecially on school days since it is a school zone.
Division and Gougar Road
Officer sits at the bottom of the Interstate 355 overpass on the southeast corner of Division and Gougar. It’s completely dark there at night and their squads are black and white so they totally blend in. The overpass is 35mph downhill. The officers mostly are going after drivers who are southbound on Gougar Road because who can keep their speed at 35mph downhill. I’m glad they’re protecting the precious cornfield to the west and the retention to the east. I feel safe.
Funeral Home on 9th near Read Street.
They sit next to the building tucked back so you can’t see them until it’s too late. They alternate sitting on either side of the building to throw you off.
