Prescott, Arizona Speed Traps
On Hwy 69 and Walker near the Costco.
After getting the green light going eastbound, it is a gradual incline and three lanes. I was in the right lane and the first vehicle, with moderate to heavish traffic. I was attempting to gain enough speed to merge over in front of the middle lane of vehicles and ironically just at the point where the right lane merges and ends was this Prescott PD motorcycle patrolman perched on the shoulder:catches me supposedly going 64 in the 45mph zone.Asks me if I was noticing my speedometer. I said ‘No , I was watching the roadway !
1000 Prescott Lakes Parkway
Coming out of Wal Mart parking lot & turning right on Prescott Lakes Pkwy.
Speed limit 50mph – Black & White sits just before where it changes to 65
900 Copper Basin Road
Motorcycle cops sitting at approximately 900 Copper Basin Road and Highland Ave. using laser detectors on traffic moving eastbound on Copper Basin Road. This road is downhill and 500 feet prior to where they are standing, there is a speed limit change from 30mph to 25mph.
Near the Prescott Casino Hotel
The speed quickly changes from 45 to 35 in heading west into Prescott. I have many times kept going about 50 till I hit the 69/89 interchange. The speed changes right around the Prescott Casino hotel now. It used to change to 35 or 45 at the interchange.
Prescott Lakes Parkway
Coming down the longest hill in Prescott, there is frequently a patrol car sitting at the bottom of the hill on Prescott Lakes Parkway waiting to catch speeders as they come around the last curve before Sundog Road.
