Tucson, Arizona Speed Traps
Drexel & Santa Cruz
Motorcycle cops camp out almost every day in front of the old Honeywell building, & prey on perfectly safe drivers where everybody drives 35 mph safely, but posted 25 mph nails almost everybody, even slow drivers. This has greatly increased since SB-1070, maybe to target people of the Mexican race who live in the area.
Tangerine between First Avenue and LaCanada
Motorcycle cops sit in alcove off Tangerine in several different locations. You cannot see them either due to bushes or dirt cliffs.
Glover Road in Oro Valley
Motorcycle cops sit with speed guns catching people going south on Verch Way and and going east on Glover. They are usually tucked under some trees or across the street far enough back that a block wall covers them from a distance.
Euclid Ave between Speedway and Grant
Usually on East side of Euclid, especially between Drachman – Lester, generally 7 – 9am Mon – Sat but sometimes at other times. 1 – 3 bike cops with radar guns. Combination of TPD and UAPD.
Broadway Blvd between Campbell and Euclid
There are always at least two motorcycle cops that love to sit in the parking lot with their speed guns. They get you coming and going, from both east and west directions. Been caught once, I now do 30 mph there every day, twice a day and watch people fly by me, then get pulled over a few minutes later. LOL
