Corona, California Speed Traps
River Road Street near Corydon Street
Riverside Motorcycle Sheriff Deputy hides on River Road as you enter the city of Corona/Norco from Archibald. The speed limit lowers abruptly and he gets his quota daily. Sometimes he hides on River Road east of the traffic light at Corydon and scans the westbound traffic. Remember, with the Riverside Sheriff there is zero tolerance.
State Highway 91 near Interstate 15
On the south side of the 91 freeway, in an open area below the 15 freeway over-crossing, CHP is spotted at all hours of the day just waiting.
Grand Boulevard near Main Street
As you are going on Grand Boulevard in a West-bound direction towards the Main St. intersection, there is a motorcycle cop that usually hides in front of the first car that is parked on the right-side of the street. He uses a laser gun. The speed limit is 35mph, which is totally unrealistic given that there are no pedestrians crossways, schools, or any foot traffic in the area. The street is pretty desolate most of the time, and I’ve NEVER seen true traffic on this part of Grand Boulevard (and I was born and raised in Corona). Another reference point is that you are going up hill right by the Main Street Metrolink station, which is to your right as well if you are traveling west.
Interstate 15 near Temescal Canyon Road
As you proceed North on I-15 you will come around a slight bend in the the freeway. This allows a CHP motorcycle cop to blend in with a light pole about 100 yards past the North bound on ramp from Temescal Canyon Road. Since people are driving 70 to 75 miles they can’t react fast enough to slow down to avoid being zapped by the officer.
Hidden Valley Parkway near Parkridge Avenue
Comming down the hill on Hidden Valley going towards Interstate 15. Motorcylce cop sit just behind brick fence with radar gun pointed at traffic. There is a light that they were going to put up at 3 way intersection but they never opened the road. So light never is on. Speed is 45 but you catch speed going down hill.
