Corona, California Speed Traps
Via Pacifica Avenue near B/T Borders & Ontario Avenue
Two to three motorcycle cops are working radar on Via Pacifica between Border and Ontario Avenue. They are parked on the sideway hidden behind cars and citing any vehicles that are exceeding the posted speed limit of 40 mph.
91 Expressway near west of Greenriver
Watch out truckers. Commercial cops sit on the west bound shoulder and clock trucks that have just started downhill from Greenriver. They’re getting rigs for speeding and for hanging out in the number 3 lane too long. You won’t see them until it’s too late.
Grand Avenue near Joy Avenue
Turning left from Joy to Grand there are no posted speed limit signs even after the bend where the police sit and wait in the business parking lot. The posted speed limit sign is not posted until after the signal at Main street. At 35 mph
Wade Street near Masters Street
They wait on Wade Way watching traffic as it comes down Masters. Since it’s a hill most cars are above the posted 35mph. I have seen them one block down hiding on side streets as well.
State Highway 91 near 241 toll Crossing
Ther are several areas along the 91 West fastrak lanes where the road curves just enough to obscure the CHP waiting there. There is little or no time to slow down, which has almost caused several accidents (just from what I’ve seen) and they should really not be doing this.
