Not really a speed trap but more like entrapment because the city of Cupertino has a yellow that lasts about 2 seconds. Just advising the motorists to be careful, there is a county sheriff’s deputy that is ruthless & a liar. Take him to court, he has not showed up and save yourself $271.

Actually a red-light camera, the ‘wonderful’ city of Cupertino has a red-light camera set up for people turning left from Northbound DeAnza Blvd onto Homestead Road. Warnings will stop on 4/13/2001 and the real citations starting at $281 will be issued. Also they are installing red-light cameras at Wolfe Road & Stevens Creek Blvd, Wolfe Road & Homestead Road, Stevens Creek & DeAnza Blvd. You have been warned, but the city intentionally has short green lights anyways, best to avoid this ticket happy town bent on generating more revenue for itself. Also be careful in Sunnyvale, they will cite for 5 MPH over the limit on Homestead Road going west from Lawrence Expressway.
